HRH Princess Anne's Visit to Kranji - Nov 2016
Kranji War Cemetery and The Commonwealth War Graves Commission
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission ensures that 1.7 million people who died in the two world wars are not forgotten.
In Singapore the Commonwealth War Graves Commission manages Kranji War Cemetery where 4,461 Commonwealth casualties of the Second World War buried or commemorated. Within Kranji War Cemetery stands the Singapore Memorial, bearing the names of over 24,000 casualties of the Commonwealth land and air forces who have no known grave. It also includes the Singapore Cremation Memorial, which commemorates almost 800 casualties, mostly of the Indian forces, whose remains were cremated.
